The Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW

The Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) makes many types of discrimination against the law. The Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW is responsible for administering NSW discrimination law.

The Anti-Discrimination Board:

  • deals with complaints of discrimination
  • tries to prevent discrimination happening through education and training and
  • reports to government if they think the law needs changing.

Information about coverage of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and about complaints procedure can be found on the website of the Anti-Discrimination Board.

In many circumstances, your situation may also be covered by Commonwealth discrimination law.
